Any tips on someone who is new to all of this? I'm 21 and I've only just now let myself accept that this is what I've wanted for a very long time, in the last year and a half or so. From what I've been told, from friends of mine that I've told about my being trans, I'm not off to a bad start just with how my body naturally looks. But I don't know where to go from here, any tips or help would be amazing. I'd do anything for help. I'm so lost in all this.. And of course, if I get the results I'm looking for I'll always post them up here to show them off for you, for helping me~ <3
I guess it would help if I posted a pic or two, proof of the whole "off to a good start" with how I naturally am thing. I've been told I have a pretty nice butt so I figured I'd start there~ <3
Another of it, different bottoms ^-^ Quality isnt the best, had to tweak the levels a bit to make it better. Sorry.
I've been told my hips are pretty nice too~ But this is the best parts. I need so much help with the rest. I'd really appreciate anything you can give me <3
Nothin? No one has ANY kind of help, or advice? At all...? sigh

First of all, i reread your post a few times, but would be really ideal if you can be more precise than just saying, "i am trans and what should i do?"
>>933 well, like i said.. I'm new to it. Ive got no idea where to even start. I've done nothing. Cause I have no idea where to even begin. thats why i came here.. I honestly don't mean to sound bitchy or annoying with that last post of mine, but I'm getting kind of desperate, thats all. I apologize if I did. I just can't seem to find any good things online, I suppose I could be searching wrong, but I really haven't found ANY helpful information on where I need to start. If you want more detail, just ask. I'll be glad to answer anything..
>>940you want hormones?
okay first do a thyroid testif everything is okay got to inhousepharmacyorder spirotake 200-400 mg a day(anything else doesn't work, anything more works faster. The only risk is dehydration so you'll have to drink A LOT of water. other then that, the sky is the limit)do a blood test ever 1-3 weeks. Once your T is below 80 you can start taking estrongens.
don't even think about going to therapist or endo because that's a waste of time and money and at your age TIME is something yo don't have

Thank you! THAT is the kind of thing Ive been trying to find. I didnt know WHAT I need to test or anything. Yea, I knew if I was going to take anything, I'd need tests, but I had no idea about any of that. I time isnt something I have a lot of, if I wanna get on with this, which is why I've been getting so desperate. Thank you so much... You've legit brought tears to my eyes..
>>943no problem~~
oh, and I was talking about testosterone levels in ng/dl, I think they may be measured differently in other regions
and by "thyroid test" I meant a blood test for thyroid hormones mainly TSH, anti-TPO and ft3, ft4
other then that, just keep taking pills, check your T regularly, don't get stressed and DON'T EXPECT VISIBLE results soon. whoremoans take many months to work.

Oh I'm not expecting anything right away. I just want the results, in general. Ya know? I waited this long, I can wait a bit more~ As for all the other things. Should I just tell a doctor thats what I'm looking at? Or just be straight forward and just say that I'm a trans. That SEEMS to be the right idea, but you never know..
I've been self-medicating for more than 8 months now. I told my doctor I'm transgender 5 months ago and although he cannot condone self-medicating, we agreed that I should get my blood tested for various biochemical parameters.
I've had the following tested: thyroid functioning; electrolytes (sodium, potassium, urea and creatinine); testosterone levels; kidney efficiency and liver metabolism. There are more parameters that need to be and SHOULD be tested, such as prolactin and estrogen. If you decide to take spironolactone, then I'd recommend you get your blood pressure tested too.
Some doctors are perfectly fine with the transgender population; they've had experience treating TG patients. Other doctors don't know enough about HRT and other relevant issues affecting your health, don't be surprised if you'll have to educate your primary care physician about basic information.
Out of curiousity, where have you been researching for information?
>>946
Google, mostly.. I've not found a WHOLE lot of information thats... useful, other than the fact I'll have to TAKE hormones, and the different types, names, etc. I've just been trying to find a place, or people who i could attempt to keep in contact with, that can help me, that know more about this than I do. I figure, taking advice from people that do it / have done it, with good results, is better than random things i can find on the internet..

You don't have to take hormones to feminize your body. There are other things you can do to alter your appearance, laser hair removal being one of them. There are other alternatives that should be explored and undertaken if desired. Please remember that transition isn't just one path that every person strictly follows. Although having HRT does help in feminizing the masculine form.
I use a number of websites to help me out. Here are a few:
http://fuxx.us/4dvhttp://fuxx.us/4dwhttp://fuxx.us/4dx
The last link redirects you to a yahoo group for self-medicating. Of interest, I've been reading a very good e-book concerning transition, it's especially informative for those considering or just beginning. http://fuxx.us/4dyBuy the e-book! You'll thank me later <_<
If you're really desperate for information regarding transition, forget about google. Go onto an online scientific paper database such as PubMed or SciDirect. Both of those websites have insightful discussions on transgender healthcare. Links to the database are shown below.
http://fuxx.us/4dzhttp://fuxx.us/4d-
Here's a paper I found on scidirecthttp://fuxx.us/4e0
Unfortunately, unless you're affiliated with an educational institution, then you'll only have access to the paper's summary and not its full length. This should be fine for now, as the scientific literature is more comprehensive and in-depth than -say- any other information you might read.

Thank you so much! I know hormones arent the ONLY way. I feel from the way i look I already have a SOMEWHAT feminine body, and I feel like they might be the best way. I'm certainly buying the e-book. i'm charging my tablet as I type this so I can buy it on my kindel app. I don't know what I could do to ever repay you for any of this <3
You're very welcome! ^_^
When it comes to research, I find the problem isn't so much to do with finding any information as it is with using the right sources. I hope it helps! And yes, if HRT feels like the right step for you then go for it!
