Hi guys, newbie here.
I feel like I definitely want to begin my transformation after all this time.I was hoping to get some information about what the process is like in obtaining hormones.
Where can I go? How much do they cost? Etc.
Umm also, what do you guys recommend for hair removal?
As you can see my legs are pretty gross :(
Soo yeah, I'm 19 y/o and going to college. I haven't told anyone about transitioning yet and am pretty nervous. Any additional tips/advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks!!

Awesome!Whoremones(if self medding) should be around $70-80 a month, not sure what country your in though so I can't comment on how much it would be under a prescription.Going to a doctor is a much safer way, but there are many options such a "informed consent" so you can self med but the doc can still monitor your blood work.
Body hair - Veet or shaving first up.Just make sure you exfoliate after and moisturize :D
And a note on hair, Bangs are a Tgirls best friend :P
>>293Thanks for the fast reply!Would you recommend the gel or wax strips?
Yeah, I wanted to go through a doctor. I live in the US and I just started browsing online for one. Not really sure what type of doctor to look for, I think an endocrinologist? So, I was researching for one in my area when I stumbled upon another site that pointed out I should see a therapist first, and then have the therapist refer me to a doctor.
Is this necessary? The initial consultation at the therapist's office is 200$, seems pretty steep =/
>>294That is a bit much... All of my therapy appointments were 80 an hour. Depending on the doctor you go to it may or may not be a requirement.

Check with your college's counseling center. For example, my college has free therapy and a trans support group. They should be able to provide at least a list of resources for you.
Yep there is a support group at my school!I haven't been yet, but I think I'll go here pretty soon. I even found out there is a transgender awareness week in november :)
Ive done a lot of researching the past few days and im learning a huge amount! What im having trouble finding now though, are some good tutorials/tips on voice feminization.
Can anyone share some with me?

There are many videos on Youtube. karmatic1110 and candiFLA had some of the earlier tutorials posted, though they don't really give you the full picture. Forlorn79 has a demonstrating some of the vocal exercises that you would do with a voice therapist.
The various tapes, DVDs, etc are only marginally better than what's free on Youtube and I wouldn't spend money on them. If you are going to spend money, you are better off finding a voice therapist that other transgendered individuals in your area recommend.
I know it's possible to find a copy of "Finding your female voice" on filesharing websites. The vocal exercise stuff from that may be helpful, but it's not particularly well explained why you are doing some of the things. The mantra stuff is mostly silly.
