I need some honesty and probably a harsh reality check. For the past two years I have been sacrificing my femininity to become physically capable for a job in law enforcement.
I have excellent credentials, six years as a security professional, I have been full time since I was 21 now 27, and I keep getting turned down half way through the hiring process or at the psyche interview.
And if you think I am just reading into it too much, my last rejection letter was addressed to Mr... instead of Ms.
Is this just a pipe dream, or can I really beat the odds and get hired as a peace officer.
Pic related, that's me.
Have you legally changed your identity? If not, that's what's holding you back. You look gorgeous.
>>2678 To clarify, if you have changed your identity, you could sue them for a number of things related to negative discrimination. If you haven't legally changed your identity, you really have no case.
So, I need to get my named changed officially.
>>2680 Chances are that you won't find any acceptance, anywhere, unless you do.
You can always join the Hot Cops ;3
>>2677People never gained equal right by accepting the limitations other people put on them.Change your name legally (Yes, it's a pain in the ass) and keep trying :3
Ok.. So I personally know 2 trans women police officers, and I can't say that they have had big issues with acceptance in the force. I will try to get reconnected and get you a contact.
This could be majorly a locational thing. If you're somewhere in the middle then I'm sure that it wouldn't be the end of your struggles as a trans woman :(
As a trans starting in law (public prosecutions):
Change name, legally. Change gender, legally. And pass damn well.
>>2677I wouldn't worry too much, I would have thought you were a girl from your picture. You pass really well!
I agree- can you give us some more pics of you? :-)
